Inside Stonehenge

These photographs show the different moods of the Stones as the light very quickly changes towards and after Sunrise. The changes are never-ending and always a delight.

Early Spring

These photos were taken on a sunny March morning in 2010. The photographs are in the same sequence in which they were taken, and the leisurely stroll took about an hour and a half.

These first photos are taken from the car park, looking across to the Cursus .

After entering, you pass under the road, and this is your first view...

The human perspective, here, shows just how big the stones are.

Getting closer on the perimeter path, shown well on Paul's aerial photo.

A leisurely stroll

Photos of a leisurely stroll, on an October day, around the perimeter path on which visitors usually walk at Stonehenge. For special access inside the stones, apply to English Heritage, the custodians of the site or book a tour which includes special access.

Aerial view

This fabulous aerial photo was taken from a radio-controlled glider, looking southeast.

The top left row of trees grows on the Kings Hill Barrows, which are indistinct on this low-resolution web picture. They are clearly visible at high resolution. The faint line leading from Stonehenge to the left, across the road is the Avenue, the original Ceremonial entrance.

If you would like to buy a high-resolution photo from Paul to produce a print, then please get in touch through info@stonehenge.co.uk
